Stickers, Labels and Decals

The words overlap, but the uses differ. A sticker is a short run, hand-applied item for giveaways and laptops. A label is printed on a roll so it can be applied quickly to products and packaging, by hand or by machine. A decal is a thicker vinyl piece meant for vehicles, windows, walls and equipment, cut to the shape of the artwork so there is no background.

Paper or Vinyl

Paper stock is the economical choice for indoor use: product labels, mailing labels, event badges and anything that stays dry. Vinyl is waterproof and holds up outdoors for years, so it is the right material for bumper stickers, water bottles, coolers and vehicles. Polyester labels sit between the two and are the standard for barcode, asset and consecutive-number labels that need to resist scuffing.

Shapes, Sizes and Finishes

Circles, squares, rectangles and ovals are the stock shapes and print at the lowest price. Die cut stickers follow the outline of your logo and cost a little more, but they look like a product rather than a label. Gloss finish makes colors pop and is the default for packaging. Matte reads as premium and avoids glare under store lighting. Foil and holographic finishes are for when the sticker is the gift. Most sizes run from 1 inch up to 12 inches on a side, and larger decals are available for windows and vehicles.

Indoor, Outdoor and Removable

Tell us where the sticker will live. Indoor permanent adhesive is standard. Outdoor stickers use UV-resistant vinyl and a laminate so the print does not fade. Removable adhesive leaves no residue on laptops and glass. Static cling has no adhesive at all and is the usual choice for windshield and storefront window pieces that come off cleanly.

How much do custom stickers cost?

Small roll labels start under $0.30 each in volume and most die cut and vinyl stickers run between $0.50 and $3 each depending on size, material and quantity. Larger decals and specialty finishes cost more. Request a quote with your size and quantity for an exact price.

What is the difference between a sticker, a label and a decal?

A label comes on a roll for fast application to products and packaging. A sticker is an individual piece for giveaways and personal use. A decal is heavier vinyl cut to the shape of your artwork for vehicles, windows and walls.

Can I get stickers in a custom shape?

Yes. Die cut stickers are cut to any outline, including the exact shape of your logo. Standard shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles and ovals are cheaper and ship faster.

Will my stickers hold up outdoors?
