Athletic Shorts

Mesh and polyester training shorts from Under Armour, Adidas and Badger are the standard for teams, gyms and camps. Inseams run from 5 to 9 inches, and pocketed versions suit everyday wear. Basketball shorts are longer and looser. Women's shorts and compression shorts come in matching colors. The logo goes on the left hip as a small embroidery or a heat-applied print, and a team name can run down the leg.

Sweatpants and Joggers

Fleece sweatpants and tapered joggers are the spirit wear and warm-up bottoms that sell at schools and sell through at gyms. Open-bottom sweatpants are the traditional cut and joggers the current one. Both take a left hip logo and a printed leg. Youth sizes cover schools and clubs.

Sizing and Decoration

Shorts and pants run from youth XS through adult 3XL, with women's sizing on most athletic styles. A safe adult split without collected sizes is one small, two medium, two large, one extra large and one 2XL per seven pieces. Embroidery is the standard decoration for the hip logo on fleece and woven bottoms, and heat-applied transfers suit mesh and performance fabrics where a needle would snag. A single-color leg print is the economical way to add a team name.

Swim Shorts
