Crystal, Glass and Acrylic

Optical crystal is the premium award material: heavy, clear and engraved deep so the lettering catches the light. Starfire glass is a lighter, lower cost alternative with the same clarity. Acrylic awards are the economical choice, come in colors and shapes that glass cannot, and print full color as well as engrave. Towers, stars, diamonds, globes and flames are the common shapes, and most sit on a matching base that carries the logo.

Plaques

A plaque is an engraved plate on a wood or acrylic board, and it is the standard for sponsors, speakers, dedications and years of service. Custom plaque awards carry the logo, the recipient's name, the reason and the date on the plate. Walnut and rosewood piano-finish boards are the classic. Full-color printed plates reproduce a logo exactly, and brass plates with black engraving read as traditional. Standard sizes run from 5 by 7 to 9 by 12 inches, and perpetual plaques add a row of small plates for a yearly winner.

Trophies, Medals and Pins

Resin and metal trophies cover sports, academic and corporate events, with a figure or an emblem on a marble or plastic base and an engraved plate. Cast medals in gold, silver and bronze finishes hang on a printed or stock ribbon and are the usual choice for races, tournaments and graduations. Lapel pins and challenge coins recognize membership and milestones and are ordered in bulk at a low unit cost.

Laser engraving on crystal, glass, acrylic and wood is permanent and suits fine lettering. Full-color printing on acrylic and plates reproduces logos in their real colors.
