Magnet thickness is measured in mils. A 20 mil magnet is the thin, economical standard for a mailing or a handout and holds a sheet of paper on a fridge. A 25 to 30 mil magnet feels sturdier and holds more. Outdoor-safe magnets for cars and trucks are 30 mil with a UV-coated face and rounded corners so they stay on at highway speed and come off without marking the paint. Business Card and Schedule Magnets

A business card magnet is 3.5 by 2 inches, the same as a card, and is the most ordered format. The 3.5 by 9 inch schedule magnet pairs a business card panel with a football or baseball schedule and goes on the fridge for a whole season. Shapes and Sizes

Stock shapes cover rectangles, squares, circles, ovals and houses, with square or rounded corners.
