Best Power Banks of 2026: Our Picks by Use, Compared on Specs
October 27, 2026 · 8 min read
The right power bank depends on what you carry: a phone, a laptop, or both. The picks below are grouped by use and compared on the makers’ published specifications: capacity, rated Wh, output watts, ports and weight. We did not run our own lab tests, so every figure here is the manufacturer’s or a named reviewer’s, and it is worth checking current prices before you buy.

| Anker Nano Power Bank 10K | 10,000 mAh | 45 W | Yes | Compact |
| INIU Pocket Rocket P50 | 10,000 mAh | 45 W | Yes | Compact with spare ports |
| Anker MagGo Power Bank 10K | 10,000 mAh (38.5 Wh) | 15 W Qi2 wireless | Yes | Magnetic wireless |
| SHARGE ICEMAG 2 | 10,000 mAh | 15 W Qi2 wireless | Yes | Magnetic, with a cooling fan |
| Shargeek 170 | 24,000 mAh (86.4 Wh) | 170 W total, 140 W single port | Yes | High capacity |

| Statik SmartCharge Pro | 15,000 mAh (54 Wh) | 60 W PD, Qi2 | Yes | Travel |
Wh figures are the makers’ own ratings, which is what airline staff read. Rows without one list capacity only; at 3.7 V a 10,000 mAh bank is about 37 Wh, far under the 100 Wh carry-on limit.
Best Overall: Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K

For anyone who carries a laptop, the Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K stores 25,000 mAh (about 90 Wh), delivers up to 165 W in total and up to 100 W from a single USB-C port, and has two built-in USB-C cables plus a USB-C and a USB-A port. At about 21 oz it belongs in a bag, not a pocket.
Best Compact: Anker Nano 10K, With INIU Pocket Rocket P50 as the Alternative
The Anker Nano 10K gives 10,000 mAh and 45 W USB-C output with a retractable 2.3 ft USB-C cable that Anker rates for 20,000 pulls, in a body about 3.2 × 2.0 × 1.4 in that weighs 0.51 lb.
The INIU Pocket Rocket P50 covers the same brief: 10,000 mAh, 45 W, two USB-C and one USB-A port, a lanyard cable and pass-through charging, at about 5.6 oz. Pick it if you want a spare port.
Best Magnetic Wireless: Anker MagGo 10K, With SHARGE ICEMAG 2 for Hot Climates
The Anker MagGo 10K pairs 10,000 mAh (38.5 Wh) with Qi2 magnetic charging at up to 15 W and a fold-out stand. Anker estimates it delivers 6,000 to 7,000 mAh to the phone after a 30 to 45% loss, which is the normal price of wireless convenience.
The SHARGE ICEMAG 2 is the alternative if wireless banks run hot for you: the same 10,000 mAh and 15 W Qi2, plus a small active cooling fan. On both, use the USB-C port when speed matters. Newer Qi2 25W magnetic banks are also on sale for phones that support 25 W; check the Wireless Power Consortium certification before buying one.
Best High-Capacity: Shargeek 170, With UGREEN Nexode 12K for Work Bags
The Shargeek 170 stores 24,000 mAh (86.4 Wh, still under the 100 Wh carry-on limit), delivers 170 W in total and up to 140 W from a single port, and is rated IP66 (Sharge comparison). That is laptop-plus-tablet power for field work.
If you want 100 W for a laptop in a lighter package, the UGREEN Nexode 12,000 mAh (44.4 Wh) gives 100 W from its main USB-C port, has two USB-C and one USB-A port, and refills at up to 65 W. Output is shared when several devices are connected.
Best With Built-In Cables: Anker Fusion 10K, With Statik SmartCharge Pro for Travel
A built-in cable fixes the most common failure: a charged bank and no cord. The Anker Fusion 10K combines 10,000 mAh, 30 W output, a built-in USB-C cable and fold-out wall prongs, so it replaces both your wall charger and your bank.
For travel, the Statik SmartCharge Pro packs 15,000 mAh (54 Wh), a built-in USB-C cable, up to 60 W Power Delivery, Qi2 wireless charging and international plug adapters, at about 370 g (Macworld review).
Need AC Power? That Is a Power Station
If you need to run a router, lights or a CPAP machine during an outage, you want a portable power station rather than a power bank. Earlier versions of this guide listed the Anker 521 PowerHouse; the US model is the 256 Wh, 200 W LiFePO4 version, and Anker’s product page currently shows it as sold out. Power stations over 160 Wh cannot fly, and our capacity guide explains where they fit.
Quick Checklist Before You Buy
- Capacity: 10,000 mAh for daily carry, 20,000 mAh or more for laptops and long trips.
- Speed: USB-C Power Delivery at 20 to 30 W for phones, 45 W or more for laptops.
- Samsung phones: look for PPS for full Super Fast Charging speed.
- Safety: UL 2056 or an equivalent mark and a complete label.
- Flying: 100 Wh or less, and no more than two banks on international flights.
The reasoning behind each line is in how to choose a power bank, and the flight rules, including Southwest’s one-bank limit, are in power bank airline rules.
Check a Bank Yourself

A cheap inline USB-C meter shows the watts a bank actually delivers. Charge the same phone from the same starting percentage with the same cable, and note the peak watts and how warm the bank gets. Then plug in a second device: a good bank keeps its per-port promise, a weak one drops sharply.
Power Banks to Avoid
- Capacity claims out of proportion to the size and weight
- No per-port output or charging standard listed
- No certification mark, model number or Wh rating on the label
- Excessive heat in normal use, or loose ports
- Multi-port wattage that only applies to one port at a time
Custom Power Banks for Business and Promotional Use

The retail brands above are not what most companies put a logo on. For employee kits and events, 5,000 to 10,000 mAh with USB-C gives useful power without weight; premium gifts can justify faster charging or Qi2 wireless. RELYmedia’s catalog runs from compact models to 20,000 mAh, with printing and laser engraving, plus cables and wireless chargers to build a kit. Browse custom power banks and ask for the safety test report for the exact model with your quote.

Frequently asked questions
Is a 10,000 mAh power bank enough?
For a phone, usually. About 60 to 70 percent of the rating reaches the phone, so a 10,000 mAh bank gives a typical 4,000 to 5,000 mAh phone roughly 1.2 to 1.75 charges. For a laptop or several devices, step up to 20,000 to 25,000 mAh.
Which power bank can charge a laptop?
One with a USB-C Power Delivery port that matches the laptop’s own charger, usually 45 to 100 W, and enough capacity, ideally 20,000 mAh or more. In this list, the Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K, the Shargeek 170 and the UGREEN Nexode 12,000 mAh all offer 100 W or more from one port.
Are magnetic power banks worth it?
For convenience, yes: they snap onto a Qi2 or MagSafe phone and charge it while you use it. They lose more energy than a cable, so you get fewer charges per mAh. Most have a USB-C port too, which is faster when you need it.
What is pass-through charging?
The bank charges a device while it is itself plugged in, so one wall outlet charges both overnight. Not every model supports it, and it adds heat, so only use it on banks whose maker lists it, such as the INIU Pocket Rocket P50 and the Statik SmartCharge Pro.
Why is my power bank charging my phone slowly?
Usually the cable or the standard. A cable rated for 60 W or less, a USB-A port, a phone that wants PPS on a bank without it, or several devices sharing output will all slow charging. A warm bank or phone also cuts speed to protect the battery.
